#SocialMediaWars! (INSTAGRAM vs. PINTEREST)

No comments :
Instagram (Instant Telegram) and Pinterest (Pinned Interest) to me appears two of the most interesting social media platforms currently existing, why because they primarily leverage on sharing still-images and for anyone Image are easily kept closer irrespective of time, they are easily stored and are renewable and are rewind-able content. What makes this war unique is the independent dynamism of both platforms. Pictures tell a million stories in a million ways. They may convey message that help us travel to the past or the future. Imagine you collecting hundreds of images of Sesames Streets on your timeline or pin-board, viewers of your board or timeline could easily find this collection of yours an interest. And were there’s an interest that’s a LEAD (a Like or a new Follower)… Pinterest is one great platform rarely tapped by the two billion people who globally make use of social media. I really don’t blame trolls for this lackluster but for the fact the value of a platform can only be understood by people who have been influenced and thereafter try to influence others… we call it eWOM (electronic Word Of Mouth). Every social media platform had grown from this non-paid advertising tool which is still the most reliable form of selling anything socially. The guys at Pinterest (Owned by Facebook) should start creating strategies to influence eWOM.

#SocialMediaWars! (VEVO vs. YOUTUBE vs. VIMEO)

No comments :
Vevo, Vimeo and Youtube obviously share three things in common which are social media, video hoisting and sharing and lastly entertainment. In the sphere of social media they offer a pedigree that leverages on the spontaneous entertainment industry, user content and advertising and this in turn help drive leads, conversion and analytical data for businesses. The wars amongst these platforms are very unique owing that they drive content based on visuals. Visuals send far more quality message to people more than audio; and reason why there’s no top successful social media platform leveraging on audio to engage, attract, retain and unify people in a defined social community. If place side by side with audio social media platforms likes “Soundcloud” or “Reverbnation” the capabilities, content, reach and engagements are incomparable. To further define this, some other social media platform leverage on still-visuals I.E Instagram and Pinterest but they also try to integrate videos but which in essence do not sync into the idiosyncrasies and objectives of these social platforms and however do not drive home any real time social engagement. But for Vevo, Vimeo and Youtube they offer a unique online platform where users create content by uploading videos for sharing and viewing to other users.
